Cruising...

Be Warned, this little beast grew unintentionally large...

Now this is one crazy boat. Spent a couple of days sailing on a 28' yacht, and came across one of these on sure. They're fuckin' fast, and crazy looking when they lift up on hydrofoils.

Picture here.

The yacht i was on, being a cruise yacht, wasn't exceptionally fast, rather un-fast even. But we did manage to piss of a boat behind us by blocking their every attempt to pass us, swerving this way and that, until they tried to tack but fucked up, and fell behind, they're jib (or whatever it was called) flailing in the wind. We weren't just being assholes for the sake of it though: it was acutally a race, although they were in a different class (a faster one too)... the event was weeklong, ' geelong week' ... sponsored by Skandia. Evidently we didn't stay for the week. We being myself, a friend, his dad, his dad's friend.

We had a fairly long trip, and we got quite a lot of wind (and swells / waves) on the way back. I did get mildly sea sick for towards the end, but only mildy. No worse than say stuffing yourself with twice as much greasy fast food as you should.

Did get rather mildly sunburnt too... hopefully in the time to come it'll revert to a pleasant looking tan though, however my plans to go to the beack tomorrow for the 35ish degree heat wont help the healing process. I do have some "Le Tan Ice Green Tea After Sun Gel" or LTIGTASG, which isn't a great acronym. It is very soothing though, any many readers will be aware of my love of iced tea, and iced green tea (in this case, i am refering to the drinking kind).

Although, be warned, if don't want an ice-tea that looks like a scumy pond, then don't get a bubble tea: 'plum ice tea with grass jelly' ... truly shocking looking (and odd tasting stuff)... i prefer they're 'ice blended apple' drinks, which have a delicious chemical apple tase. mmm.

And now, something entirely random, for no apparent reason... Well, 99% random, 1% because i like the layout of the quote, even though im quoting myself. And really, i should be consistent, so if i am to quote the aforementioned thing, then i should quote all my works. But i won't. And so i present to you, a little jig. Oh, and i remeber now that 17% of the reason was that i wanted to use the word 'iota'...

The quota
for concentration
is an iota
of hesitation

And then in my mind,
a brief correlation!
Then an odd sensation.
And a bang, like some kind,
...Of vibration
A spring,
maligned

Elastic here
Stretch back there
I gaze around,
At what surrounds...

What was i saying?

Guest Post # 1

Currently listening to: Wearing a Raincoat by They Might Be Giants
- TMBG = brilliant band

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Andrew has kindly invited me to make a guest post on his blog and despite the failed attempts to try and add me as a guest member to Pandemonium and Soliloquy, I will persevere and continue with the wonderful guest post.

The problem is, however, that I have nothing to write.

Until now. So here is a sample of the lyrics to Wearing a Raincoat by They Might Be Giants:

Turning to drugs to help you sleep
Will only lead to sleep
And sleeping is a gateway drug
To being awake, being awake, being awake again

Being awake is swimming around in a lake
Of the undead
And the undead are like
A bunch of friends
That demand constant attention

Well...that post wasn't the worst I've ever read. Maybe it was.

Oh yeah!

I just went to the kitchen to get a crisp green apple. Then I remembered I bought nectarines! Sweet, juicy, bliss... such was the next minute of my life. Made all the better by the completely unforseen and unexpected emergence of such pleasure.

Current mood: Overjoyed.

Angry

Fuck. pissed off. no real reason, just feeling really angry. pathetic really. but undeniable. i just wish i could type angry, and instead of a jumble of nonsensical characters, it made the language more emotive, or in the least, that the harder i bashed the keys, the bolder they became.

Intense angry angst, awfully alliterates my rage...
lost in loathing.
fuck.

stupid typing has made my anger a more manageable but less desireable loathing for nothing in particular.
typing is therapeutic, but i don't want fucking therapy. at this point, im starting to sound insane, so, i end HERE.

...also today, heard a really neat cover of a Darkness song "get your hands off my women" done by Ben Folds. Crazy.
